Installing the latest Windows Azure Pack extensions

To view cost data from Cloud Cruiser Express in the Windows Azure Pack portals, you must install Cloud Cruiser extensions in the Windows Azure Pack Admin Site, Tenant Site, and Usage API computers. You might have already installed them as part of your Windows Azure Pack installation.

HPE periodically releases updates to these extensions to fix bugs and enhance functionality. If some time has elapsed between your installation of Windows Azure Pack and your current installation of Cloud Cruiser Express, you should make sure you have the latest versions of the extensions installed.

Deployment architecture

The Windows Azure Pack Admin Site, Tenant Site, and Usage API can be deployed on one, two, or three computers. The following diagram shows where to install Cloud Cruiser's Admin Site Extension and Tenant Site Extension in each of these deployment architectures.

Make sure your Windows Azure Pack data source points to the Usage API computer, not the Admin Site computer. Cloud Cruiser and Cloud Cruiser Express collect data from the Usage API.

If one of these computers does not have Internet access, see the knowledge base article Installing Azure Pack extensions without Internet access.
