Cloud Cruiser Express is a free version of Cloud Cruiser. As such, it has some limitations. The following premium features are available only by upgrading to Cloud Cruiser.

  • Unlimited quantity: Cloud Cruiser Express limits the number of objects (such as VMs and DBs) you can manage. A Cloud Cruiser license lets you manage as many as you want.
  • Unlimited scope: Collect data from a wide variety of other systems besides Windows Azure Pack to manage your heterogeneous cloud.
  • Advanced data visualizations: Slice your data in any number of ways and view it in compelling visual formats using Cloud Cruiser Analytics.
  • Alerts: Automatically send email notification when a customer's charges approach or exceed their monthly budget.
  • Cost of Goods Sold: Track the cost to you of the services for which you bill customers.
  • Discounts and surcharges: Lower or raise the price of an item for one or more customers.
  • Transactions: Assess startup or monthly fees, provide credits, and process any other transaction not connected to collected usage data.
  • Change your account structure: Organize and identify your customers based on your business instead of by Windows Azure Pack subscriber and subscription IDs. For more information, see Account structure and account identifiers.
  • Alternate views of account structure: Create views of your account structure that enable users to view charge data through a different hierarchy. For example, organizing a report with the bottom level on top or with a middle level missing. This gives you more ways to analyze your financial data.
  • Custom reports: Create new reports to run or modify the standard reports shipped with Cloud Cruiser. For more information, see Creating custom reports.
  • Automated reports: Schedule reports to run at particular dates and times and be sent as PDFs to specific users or customers. For more information, see Automating reports.
  • Data mapping: Convert collected data values to other values that support your business rules and enhance reporting, such as mapping an ID to a name. For more information, see Translation process.
  • LDAP authentication: Use an existing LDAP directory to manage Cloud Cruiser user accounts.
  • REST API: Control Cloud Cruiser programmatically with a Representational State Transfer (REST) API.
