To create a resource, perform the following procedure:
Field | Description |
---|---|
Resource | Specifies the unique name of the resource. |
Type | Specifies a resource type of Standard (the default), Bundle , Discount / Surcharge , or Passthrough. Passthrough resources have their rates defined within the source system. Cloud Cruiser does not maintain the rate value. The collection data contains the rates in the CC Record file. |

Units | Specifies the unit value (KB, seconds, cycles, etc.) for the resource. |
Field | Description |

Allocated | Specifies that the resource will charge based on quantity and duration. If deselected, the resource will charge based on quantity consumed. Allocation based charges require a time component that you can set in the Rate panel’s Charge Interval field. |
Hidden | Specifies that the resource will be applied, but will not show up on any system-wide reports. |
COGS | Specifies the resource as a Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) input. This is only visible if you enabled this option type. To do this, go to Administration > Configuration > Billing and select the Enable COGS option. After enabling COGS, the resource list has a COGS menu above it. You can use this to filter the resources displayed to COGS or Price (the default). |
