Ad-hoc reports

With advanced reporting, you can perform ad-hoc reports on the data stored in the Cloud Cruiser database. Typically, you would use advanced reports when to find a specific relationship between your data that goes beyond what the standard reports reveal, and to perform some specific business intelligence on that data.

Advanced reports allows you to run a report for any metric, by any metric. For example, if you want to run an account by account ID, you can specify the date, resource, resource group, or actual usage that you want to compare it to.

Another example is accounting date - how much was spent by each account, how much was spent on each resource, how much of each resource was consumed.

For example, to set up a report for each account and how many units of a specific resource were consumed, you can specify the account structure and the level of rollup for Division. You can specify the range of accounts and the specific resource.

If you run the report as is, you will report on all the VMware consumption. But you can see all of the different groups in the heterogeneous view that are available for reporting.

TIP: You can search for a report by name in the navigation pane of the Cloud Cruiser Portal.
