To enable administrators to view charge data from Cloud Cruiser in Windows Azure Pack, you must install an extension on the admin site and connect it to the Cloud Cruiser server by registering the Cloud Cruiser REST API endpoint.

To enable the display of costs in Windows Azure Pack

  1. If you have not yet installed Cloud Cruiser for Windows Azure Pack: Admin Site Extension on your Windows Azure Pack admin site, install it now.
Use the Microsoft Web Platform Installer on your admin site machine. Cloud Cruiser for Windows Azure Pack: Admin Site Extension is in the Products list.
  2. In your browser, log in to the management portal for administrators.
  3. Click User Costs, then click the second action, Register your Cloud Cruiser REST endpoint.
You can ignore the action Complete the Cloud Cruiser Express installation, which pertains to the free version of Cloud Cruiser available to Windows Azure Pack customers.
  4. Enter the following information:
    • Endpoint URL: The URL to the REST API method that fetches tenant cost data from the Cloud Cruiser server.
This is in the format <ccServerURL>/rest/v1/wap, where <ccServerURL> is the URL to your Cloud Cruiser Portal. For example:
    • Username: The ID of the user account with which to connect to Cloud Cruiser
This user must have the Report User role and be a member of a group with permission to view data for all customers. To reduce the likelihood of password maintenance issues, Cloud Cruiser recommends choosing a user account that isn’t also used by humans.
    • Password: The password for this user
  5. Click the check-mark button to save these settings.

You can now view tenant costs from the Summary and Reports pages. Online help is available from those pages.
