The collector has the following requirements:

  • A dedicated server, real or virtual, running a 64-bit version of one of the following:

    • Ubuntu Linux Server

    • Ubuntu Linux Desktop

    • CentOS 6

    • RHEL 6

    The collector should work on any 64-bit Linux, but has only been tested on the above systems at this time.
  • 4 GB of RAM (8 GB recommended)

  • 2 cores (4 or more cores recommended)
    Up to 32 cores are supported via configuration

  • The libcurl package, if not already present on the system

    For some systems, a binary will require compiling against the version of libcurl on the system. In this case, HPE will supply the requisite binary on request.

  • TCP network connectivity to the Cloud Cruiser server on the API port
    The default port is 8080.

  • A source of NetFlow v9 traffic via UDP
    For more information, see Netflow data.

​​REST API script

The Perl script for manual pushes to the Cloud Cruiser​ REST API has the following requirements:

  • Perl
    This is present by default on Ubuntu.

  • The HTTP::Request CPAN package

  • The LWP::UserAgent CPAN package
