Installation process overview

Installing Cloud Cruiser consists of these high-level steps:

1. Install and configure a supported database server and give Cloud Cruiser access.
   See Configuring your database server.
2. Install a supported version of Java on the HPE Consumption Analytics Portal computer and set its installation path as an environment variable.
   See Configuring Java.
3. If you will collect data from Microsoft Windows Azure Pack, set a password for its Usage REST API user.
   See Setting the Windows Azure Pack API password.
4. Run the Cloud Cruiser installer.
   See Installing the Cloud Cruiser application.
5. If you are using a Microsoft SQL Server database server set to Windows authentication, configure the Cloud Cruiser application server to use this method.
   See Configuring Windows authentication with SQL Server.
6. Install and configure Cloud Cruiser Analytics.
   See Installing and configuring Cloud Cruiser Analytics.
7. If you will collect data from Cisco Process Orchestrator, configure the Cisco Process Orchestrator server to work with Cloud Cruiser.
