Exporting and distributing reports

If you have the necessary permissions, you can export a report, or set it up for distribution via email.

Exporting reports

You can export a report table and/or charts to PDF to share with others in your organization, or download the report table to a CSV or XLSX file, to work with the underlying data outside of HPE GreenLake Central.

Exporting a report to PDF

You can create a PDF export of a report to share it with other people as needed.

To export to PDF

  1. In the Actions menu, click Export PDF.


    The Download overlay displays:


  2. Select the desired output options from the overlay.
  3. Click Print preview to see the result of your selections.
    The preview displays:


  4. (Optional) If you want to preview any changes to your selections, click Close and repeat from step 2.
  5. Click Print to display your device's print dialog to print or save the PDF.

Exporting a report table to CSV or XLSX

You can export a report table to CSV or XLSX so you can use the underlying data as needed outside of HPE GreenLake Central.

To export a report table 

  1. In the Actions menu, click Download CSV/XLS.


    The Download overlay displays:


  2. Select the desired output option from the overlay.
  3. Click Download.
    Excel opens your file:
  4. Save the file and modify or use it as needed.

Configuring Report Distribution

You can optionally configure distribution to share reports with selected users on a regular basis.

To configure report distributions

  1. In the Actions menu, click Configure distributions.



The Configure report distribution overlay displays:


  1. Select the recipient user group(s) from the Email recipients drop-down list.
  2. Check the desired box(es) for the report Export format. 
  3. Select the desired Time period from the drop-down list.
  4. Enter the Email subject line for your report.
  5. Enter the Email body for your email distribution.
  6. Select the desired Distribution frequency as monthly, weekly, or daily from the drop-down list.
  7. Based on the distribution frequency selected from the drop-down list, select the desired Day from the additional drop-down list for monthly or weekly frequency, or enter the Time of day for daily frequency.
  8. Click Save.
    A confirmation pop-up indicates that the distribution has been updated successfully.
    At the distribution frequency and day or time of day, the selected user(s) will receive an email distribution similar to this:


You can reconfigure distributions at any time, or delete them by removing all assigned user groups.
