Consumption Analytics Documentation |
A service can be almost anything in your computing environment that you want to charge for, including but not limited to storage consumption, storage I/O, and CPU consumption.
You can define services and their rates either by creating them in with the HPE Consumption Analytics Portal Portal or by importing them. Importing services saves time if you have a large number of them to maintain.
You manage services in the Financial > Services page of the HPE Consumption Analytics Portal Portal.
As part of the CloudSmart-Now packages offering, HPE Consumption Analytics Portal includes services for private cloud data sources to handle common chargeback use cases. Usage is automatically matched to one of these services.
For vCenter, HPE Consumption Analytics Portal provides the following services:
By default, HPE Consumption Analytics Portal charges for VM storage allocated. If you would rather charge by VM storage used, on the Services page show inactive services, activate the vCenter VM Storage Used
service, and then deactivate the vCenter VM Storage Allocated
service.
For Windows Azure Pack, HPE Consumption Analytics Portal provides the following services:
