Cloud Cruiser became HPE Consumption Analytics on Nov. 1st. You'll still see the old name in places while we update this site.

Entity input

Table of contents
No headers

The collector’s required entityInput property specifies a CSV input file containing a list of entities to collect. For each entity in the file, if a perf profile for its object type exists in the feed configuration, the collector queries for the counters specified in the profile. If no perf profile exists for that type, the collector moves on to the next entity.

To use snapshot collection to create this list daily as intended, provide the same value for this property and the entityOutput property of the vSphere Snapshot Collector. You might choose not to do this if you’re only interested in collecting historical data on a subset of entities, in which case you would use as entityInput a static file that lists only those entities. Be aware that this creates the possibility of collecting historical data for entities that no longer exist.
