Consumption Analytics Documentation |
To view cost data from HPE Consumption Analytics Portal in the Windows Azure Pack portals, you must install Cloud Cruiser extensions in the Windows Azure Pack Admin Site, Tenant Site, and Usage API computers. You might have already installed them as part of your Windows Azure Pack installation.
Cloud Cruiser periodically releases updates to these extensions to fix bugs and enhance functionality. If some time has elapsed between your installation of Windows Azure Pack and your installation of HPE Consumption Analytics Portal, you should make sure you have the latest versions of the extensions installed.
The Windows Azure Pack Admin Site, Tenant Site, and Usage API can be deployed on one, two, or three computers. The following diagram shows where to install HPE Consumption Analytics Portal's Admin Site Extension and Tenant Site Extension in each of these deployment architectures.
Make sure your Windows Azure Pack data source points to the Usage API computer, not the Admin Site computer. HPE Consumption Analytics Portal and Cloud Cruiser Express collect data from the Usage API.
The following procedure installs a Windows Azure Pack extension. Perform it on the appropriate computers according to your deployment architecture.
If one of these computers does not have Internet access, see the knowledge base article Installing Azure Pack extensions without Internet access.
